You may well be feeling the shock of realising 2018 is upon us when you read the title for this post. 2017 has been another fantastic year for our clients and we are hoping to have an even better 2018. With this in mind we want our clients to put some serious thought into advertising through Bing Ads, Bing’s version of Google AdWords.
Bing launched their partner programme in the middle of 2017 to help support paid search management agencies like Mabo better support their clients who advertise on Bing Ads.
In fact, Mabo were one of the first one hundred agencies selected to be part of Bings partner programme. This demonstrates that the growing reputation of Mabo is travelling far and wide to our peers in the industry such as Bing.
Our initial feedback of the Bing partner programme is very good which is why we are 100% confident in recommending Bing Ads to our clients.
The big question to be answered here though is why?
Bing Is Bigger Than You Think:
A few stats will be shown to you now which may well shock you in regards to the reach Bing have not just in the UK, but globally.
Bing as a search engine powers 12bn searches per month. This is a number that will continue to grow based on the growth they have seen over the past three years in particular:
Bing actually powers one in four of the searches made on a PC.
This is a number that has increased year on year from 18% in 2015 and 23% in 2016.
Goes to prove that Bing is a search engine on the rise.
Bings overall market share in the UK is 25%. The only country with a larger market share than here is the United States with 33%.
The average market share for Bing globally is 9%. This goes to show that Bing have really made a huge impact on the monopoly Google have on the UK search market.
The Bing network of search partners is continuing to grow. Did you know in fact that Bing is the default search engine for Cortana, Amazon Alexa, Skype and all windows 10 PCs.
A full list of Bings search partners are shown below:
Windows 10 has been a huge factor in the growth of Bing in the UK.
You can still advertise through the standard channels available through Google AdWords:
Standard search – Text ad advertising at the top of the search results.
Shopping – Bing shopping has grown hugely since its launch. The CTR for shopping ads has increased by over 70% in the UK during 2017.
Remarketing – Advertisers are continuing to see fantastic results through Bings remarketing network.
Bing have seen and will continue to see growth in the UK search market. Because of this we believe that all Google AdWords advertisers seriously have to look into whether your business is missing out on potential customers by not advertising on Bing.
