Features & Updates Within The World Of Paid Advertising – Volume 5

I don’t know what shocks me more, the fact we are into the second week of September, or the fact there is only fifteen Monday’s left until Christmas! I can’t wait to be sipping hot chocolate and singing The Pogues – Fairytale Of New York.

However, until then, sit back and enjoy the second week of September’s Features and Updates of Google Advertising, Microsoft Advertising, and Facebook.

Google Ads:
Google Ads (formerly AdWords) is an advertising service enabling businesses to display ads within Google’s search results and advertising network. Businesses are charged when people click on an ad which Is then displayed on one of Google’s networks, including Search, Display, Shopping and YouTube.

Google have been very generous on this one. To help you plan and forecast even more of your campaigns, Performance Planner will now support shopping campaigns and smart shopping campaigns. This feature allows you to not only adjust budget and campaign settings but also to evaluate their impact on performance. Alongside, planning for upcoming seasonal periods.

Google Ads Auction-Time Bidding is now fully launched in Search Ads 360:
Enabling advertisers to pass floodlight conversion data into Google Ads. Which further utilises auction-time bidding capabilities and maintains cross-engine portfolio optimisation. Allowing advertisers to get the best performance from Search Ads 360 and Google Ads platform.

Microsoft Advertising:
Microsoft Advertising is a popular service that provides pay per click advertising. Ads could appear on the top or to the right of Bing, Yahoo, and MSN search results, allowing customers to purchase a product, request a service or sign up for information.

Microsoft Advertising allows access to three of its audiences targeting options:
This brand new feature will definitely be useful coming into the festive season. By releasing dynamic Remarketing lists, In-market Audiences in France & Germany for search campaigns, and LinkedIn Profile targeting for both search and audience campaigns. Reaching the correct audience will now be a lot easier!

Facebook is defined as an online social networking website. Allowing people to create individual profiles, share information and respond to others. Although also a fantastic platform for businesses to get themselves known and heard. Check out the new Facebook marketing badge below? Nice right?

Facebook improves accessibility:
Everyone wants smooth sailing when navigating right? Facebook have resolved and debugged keyboard commands so that full keyboard navigation is possible alongside updating reusable components based on the ARIA Practices Guide.

Facebook Launches ‘Facebook Campus’:
This year has been tough on students, so hopefully, this update will help to facilitate their connection among peers. Facebook campus helps students find classmates, create chatrooms, plan virtual concerts and ask for advice. Defiantly worth keeping an eye on if you have a product or service suitable for students.
