Google’s brand new feature of business messaging makes it easier for users to get in touch with businesses directly from maps & search.
We have all been there, messaging a business online to find out if they have parking available or any specials on.. not getting a response quickly can lead to you choosing a different venue or company and the company in question losing you as a customer. Therefore, Google’s new prominent message options in both maps and search, speed up the process by making it easier for people to reach out with their questions when they find the chosen business in Google’s apps.
From today, in maps, verified businesses on Google will be able to receive and respond to messages from the Google Maps app. Simply by verifying their business by claiming their Google My Business listing. Giving potential customers another way to gather key information, and another opportunity to connect.
In addition to this, Google’s also adding a message button to Google My Business posts, which is accessible via Search results. Again, providing more ways for people to connect. Added insights will also be included within your Google My Business tools, meaning you can see exactly how people are discovering your business. Further allowing you to push your marketing efforts & budget in that direction.
With so much search traffic being driven by Google, it’s important to ensure that you control what you can of your presence within search and maps. Therefore it advised you claim Google My Business Profile.
