Facebook Adds New Paid Events Options for Businesses and Creators.

Let’s face it, Coronavirus has caused many businesses to worry about their finances, their staff, and their future. So, if a social platform as large as Facebook can help take some of that worry away, then who are we to not talk about it and take advantage of it!!

So what is Facebook offering I hear you say? Drum roll, please!!!!

Facebook is launching a new paid events option. As seen in the image below, these are pages that can host events on Facebook Live to reach broad audiences via Messenger Rooms for more personal and interactive gatherings. By combining marketing, payments, and live videos, paid online events can be a way to meet the end-to-end needs of businesses. 

So how could these live videos benefit your business? Well, not only can you generate a direct income, but you will also be able to connect with both existing and new customers. Not only available within 20 countries, but Facebook have also confirmed they will NOT be taking a cut of any fees paid. Though your attendees will still need to pay a 30% cut to the App Store if they sign up on iOS. Win, win in every situation eh??

However, this is not the first time Facebook have graced us with a paid event option!! You must admit, they are good to us!!

Facebook already have similar subscription options in place for gaming streamers via its ‘Level Up’ program. But unlike ‘Level Up’ the messenger rooms have been made widely available and can defiantly add another element for businesses looking at revenue generation options amid the ongoing lockdown.
