Google has started displaying some ads in Google Discover – a section of content that is recommended by the search engine when the user launches the app.

This update has not been officially released by Google themselves, indicating that it is still in some sort of A/B testing.

So far, feedback on this update has been somewhat negative, however, the real measure Google will go by is whether or not people engage with the ads. This is potentially a huge deal for advertisers, should it become a readily available feature and we will be one of the first to report on this.
