“…amazing success.” – Melody Maison

We were given the opportunity to speak with Melody Maison who are one of the leaders in shabby chic furniture within the UK regarding our service. Lee Mableson, our MD, remembers the initial call with Mark, owner of Melody Maison.
Talks began as usual but 5 Minutes into the call it came to a hold with, and quote “you haven’t said anything I haven’t heard before?” When we speak to prospecting clients we have to sound out their knowledge of adwords, for the more veteran advertiser, they hear the same talk over and over. Our service is more complex, it is more complicated, there is more thought involved, it is confusing for some and it is indepth and so, it was at this point we differentiated ourselves from our ‘competition’ and turned it on.

Needless to say they became a client, here’s how it worked;


The feeling was the same as many other advertisers, that their PPC campaigns should have been performing better than they were. It’s quite common that we take accounts from other agencies and this is one of those instances. The inefficient work that was running in the account was subsequently paused, the waste removed, campaigns restructured and activated again ready to go hard with all of the more detailed data layers that we optimise for applied.


The initial focus was simply for us to concentrate on Google Shopping performance although we were given free rein to take the account in whichever direction we thought best. Our initial goal was simply to improve R.O.A.S. without loss in volume of sales.


The headliner here is a 91.77% lift in revenue achieved with a 13.84% drop in spend vs the same month the year before.


Melody Maison supply french style shabby chic furniture and as with all advertisers there is a strength demographic. After data analysis at product level we found that users who reside in more affluent areas of the country had higher basket values and higher conversion rates. We were able to manipulate bids and increase traffic volume for users who matched that strength demographic thus streamlining advertising spend which increased conversion volume and ultimately R.O.A.S. with smart spending techniques.
