Mabo have an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to join our team in an R&D role. As a company, we’ve grown to over 40 staff, work with over 350 clients and have responsibility for over £25m+ in annual advertising spend.
As an R&D Developer, you play a key part in pioneering technology that improves Mabo as a company from within.
You will work as part of a close-knit, growing team in Mabo’s R&D department and be responsible for expanding our current in-house technology, working with a range of APIs as well as developing new internal platforms that improve efficiency and optimise our client’s advertising performance across a range of channels.
As developers, the paths we have taken to become who we are, know what we know and do what we do may differ, but our vision is the same: to write code that makes a difference. With that in mind, it makes sense that we like to showcase how we make a difference in different ways – it could be a GitHub profile, previous project, portfolio, or documented in a CV.
We work with a range of technologies and the opportunity to learn new skills and programming languages is ever-present. We work with the following technology and whilst we don’t expect you to be familiar with them all, experience in working with some would be beneficial;
- Experience working with PHP (OOP)
- Experience using MySQL
- Knowledge of working with external APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Knowledge of Laravel, or a similar MVC framework
- Knowledge of a Content Management System (à la WordPress)
We craft our best code when we’re happy – we offer a range of different projects with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and benefit from exclusive training, early-access software and regular visits to the likes of Google and Microsoft to remain ahead of the curve in tech.
As part of team Mabo, we’ll offer you a competitive salary, flexi-time, regular social events, an employee bonus scheme and company pension scheme. This role is based in our Middlesbrough HQ and is full time, working 7.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday.
